Our clothing is a fusion of ethnic inspiration and contemporary European style. The Dar Gazelle look can be described as neo-bohemian or "global luxe": chic and modern but with echoes of faraway lands. Like so many magical things, Dar Gazelle was first conceived of in Marrakech, Morocco. Our founder, Molly Malone was on the hunt for the perfect caftan - one that would be equally chic on the beaches of the South of France or running errands in California. A San Francisco area native, Molly has spent much of her life abroad. From boarding school in England, to social work in Brazil, her pivotal experiences have been continent-spanning. After years of making questionable fashion choices, Molly has developed a discerning eye for clothing that will translate back home. She travels the world on buying expeditions, personally overseeing the selection of each item offered at Dar Gazelle and ensuring that all vendors meet strict guidelines for ethical production practices. Molly studied Cultural Anthropology at UC Berkeley and is committed to giving back to the communities that create the beautiful clothing for Dar Gazelle. |
